About Lindsay

I am a photographer and digital mixed media artist living and working in Houston.

When I was a little girl, I loved playing with my parents’ Canon AE-1. I was enthralled by the clicking sound of the shutter as I ran around the house pretending to take pictures. As I grew, so did my love for photography. I majored in graphic design in college, but took as many photography classes as I could fit into my schedule. After college I moved to England, where I obtained a master’s degree in art history. My thesis focused on early photography and its evolution into an art form.

After graduate school, I found my way into education. Currently, I am a high school photography and digital art and media teacher at a public school in suburban Houston.

I love to document what I see and experiment with new processes. My photography is based on my own observations of the world through my travels and local environment. I love image manipulation and emphasizing the painterly qualities in a photograph. While most of my work is based in a digital format, I enjoy darkroom photography and photo based mixed media.

When I am not taking pictures, I am a wife, toddler mom, dog owner, and overall mover and shaker.
